On average, you can expect to pay around $600 to $1,200 per month for a room in Miami.

Utilities

Utility costs are estimated at around $160 per month. Miami's typical electricity rate is 12.46% less expensive than the national average. Florida has the lowest water costs of any state, with an average monthly cost of $6, according to statistics from rentcafe.com.

Food and groceries

In Miami, you can rely on public transportation to get around and save money if you can't afford to own a car. Metrobus offers more than 95 routes for those who commute by public transit. Miami-Dade County's bus system connects to Metrorail and Metromover and provides service to all significant entertainment, retail, and cultural hubs.

Bus fares begin at $2.25 for each journey. An EASY Ticket is the most convenient method of bus fare payment. The daily parking price for Metrorail is $4.50, and all other Metrorail fares are the same. The discounted rate for Metrorail is $56.25, while a normal one-month pass costs $112.50.

Living in Miami is a great experience. Before relocating to Miami, estimate how much it will cost to find housing to be sure you can afford the location. You can also look into Miami's suburbs, which may be less expensive than city living while yet providing quick access to the city's attractions.
