Grotta Palazzese, Puglia, Italy
As a tourist destination, Italy likely makes it to the top 10 for everyone! With its incredible cuisine, beautiful architecture and crystal clear Adriatic sea, Italy is a gem! While restaurants across the country will provide you with an experience to remember, Grotta Palazzese is something else. Have you ever visited and dined in a cave, with the waves crashing below you while overlooking the Italian coast? This colossal cave on the coast of Puglia, southern Italy, was made into a restaurant back in the 1700s!
This incredible and somewhat hidden gem, will certainly be a memorable experience! At Grotto Palazzese you can enjoy some of the freshest seafood and other incredible dishes. In the 1700s, the restaurant was only accessible by very important individuals and not open to the public. However, now you get to feel like a true VIP at this exquisite location.
The restaurant is closed during the off season, the ideal time to dine in a cave is between May to October!
Soneva Kiri, Koh Kood, Thailand
In case you’re afraid of heights, maybe this isn’t the best restaurant for you but the experience sure is extraordinary! At Soneva Kiri, you’ll be dining in the sky, 16ft above the ground, in the form of a very exclusive tree house. The restaurant provides an incredible perspective of the Koh Kood rainforest with a beautiful bird's eye view!
Not only will the location be extraordinary but the service as well! The waiters will be zip-lining all food and drinks to you! Soneva Kiri truly thought of everything!
The Rock, Zanzibar, Tanzania
Does it get more unique than a restaurant on top of a single rock in the middle of the Indian Ocean? Not likely! Previously used as a fisherman’s post, The Rock serves some of the freshest seafood ever with incredible 360 views! Depending on the tide, you can either walk from the beach or take a boat to your reservation! It’s fairly close to the shore so you don’t have to worry about getting seasick or walking for a longer period through the sand. Guests are surrounded by gorgeous white beaches of the Tanzanian coast.
Keep in mind, the restaurant really is situated on a rock. Therefore, a reservation in advance is essential to get the full experience!
Le Jules Verne, Paris, France
Paris is always associated with the Eiffel Tower and rightfully so! While most tourists simply walk up to the top and enjoy the views, how about dining in the Eiffel Tower? Le Jules Verne offers an incredible experience to truly take in the Parisian atmosphere. The Michelin star restaurant is an all-around unforgettable experience in the heart of Paris!
